Jesus Heals on the Sabbath

In the warm, smoke-touched light of an ancient synagogue, Christ stands before a man desperate for healing — and he heals him, Sabbath or not. The Pharisees crowd the shadows on the left, arms crossed, faces hard with legal outrage. But the light falls on Jesus. It always does. This scene from the Sabbath healing narratives (Luke 13, Mark 3) captures something the remnant church must never forget: the Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath, and its Lord is the one who restores what is broken.
