About this image

God said, "Let them make me a sanctuary, that I may dwell among them" — and this is what they built. This detailed aerial view of the wilderness tabernacle shows every court element in precise biblical layout: the altar of burnt offering, the laver, the Holy Place, and the Most Holy Place within — all surrounded by the white linen fence of the outer court, with the camp of Israel stretching to the horizon. Essential for sanctuary message seminars, evangelism presentations, and Adventist Bible study materials that need a clear, accurate overview of the entire sanctuary system.

Bible background: The Sanctuary

God told Moses, “Let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them,” and gave a pattern for the tabernacle in the wilderness: the courtyard with the altar of burnt offering and the laver, the Holy Place with the table of shewbread, the golden lampstand and the altar of incense, and the Most Holy Place with the ark of the covenant beneath the mercy seat.

Every piece of furniture and every service pointed to Jesus. The daily sacrifices showed the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world, and the yearly Day of Atonement pictured the final cleansing of sin. The book of Hebrews explains that Christ is now our High Priest, ministering in the heavenly sanctuary of which the earthly one was a copy.
