About this image

Before there was Rome, there was Babel — and the spirit of Babylon is as old as humanity's first attempt to build a kingdom in defiance of God. This explosive cinematic oil painting captures the destruction of the Tower of Babel with fearsome drama: lightning splitting a stormy sky, fire erupting from the crumbling tower, crowds fleeing in all directions as the structure collapses under divine judgment. In SDA prophetic understanding, Babylon is not merely an ancient city — it is a system, a spirit, a pattern that repeats through history and reaches its final expression in the last days. Available as a high-resolution digital download for church displays, evangelism series visuals, and SDA home decor. The second angel's declaration echoes from Babel to the present. Download this image and let it anchor that truth in your space today.

Bible background: The Three Angels' Messages

In Revelation 14, John sees three angels flying in the midst of heaven, each carrying a message for every nation, kindred, tongue and people just before Christ returns to reap the harvest of the earth. Seventh-day Adventists understand these messages as God's final call to the world.

The first angel carries the everlasting gospel and calls everyone to fear God, give Him glory and worship the Creator, because the hour of His judgment has come. The second announces that Babylon is fallen. The third warns against worshipping the beast and his image or receiving his mark, and describes God's people as those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
