About this image
A field full of people — different ages, different faces, different stories — all looking at the same sky. Some weep. Some reach upward. A child tips his head back and stares with wide, uncomplicated faith. The golden light breaking through the clouds above them is not yet fully visible, but every face tells you it is coming. This oil painting-style digital print captures the interior experience of the Second Coming: not the spectacle in the sky, but the response in the human heart. For SDA believers who have lived their whole lives inside this hope, it is an image of profound personal recognition. High-resolution digital download, beautiful as living room or bedroom wall art. This is the hope that has always been worth waiting for.
Bible background: The Second Coming of Jesus
Jesus promised, “I will come again, and receive you unto myself.” As He ascended, the angels told the disciples He would return “in like manner.” Scripture describes His coming as literal, visible and glorious: He comes in the clouds with power and great glory, and every eye shall see Him.
At His return the dead in Christ rise first, the living saints are caught up together with them, and God's people are gathered home. It is the blessed hope of every believer, the day when God wipes away all tears and there is no more death, sorrow or pain.
