Bible background: The Three Angels' Messages

In Revelation 14, John sees three angels flying in the midst of heaven, each carrying a message for every nation, kindred, tongue and people just before Christ returns to reap the harvest of the earth. Seventh-day Adventists understand these messages as God's final call to the world.

The first angel carries the everlasting gospel and calls everyone to fear God, give Him glory and worship the Creator, because the hour of His judgment has come. The second announces that Babylon is fallen. The third warns against worshipping the beast and his image or receiving his mark, and describes God's people as those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
